Customs Court adjourns hearing of Rs209m tax evasion case

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has adjourned the hearing of case filed against accused Tashreef Javed who was arrested in huge tax evasion of Rs209 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Tashreef Javed son of Khadim Hussain who is Director of M/s Hussain Cane Private Limited was arrested by the customs authorities due to his involvement in tax evasion.

Other accused persons includes Ikram ul Haq son of Muhammad Sharif Bhatti, Ihtisham ul Haq son of Muhammad Sharif Bhatti, Muhammad Saeed son of Muhammad Alim Malik owners of M/s Imran International who were also booked by the authorities in same case.

A case was registered against them in Customs Intelligence and Prosecution under section of 156, 1, 14, 14A, 46 of Customs Act 1969.
