PESHAWAR: The Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) intelligence wing has unearthed an unregistered cigarette manufacturing factory Khyber Pakhtunkhawa’s district Buner.
The officials from the Directorate General Intelligence and Investigation-Inland, during the raid, were given threats by the manufacturers. Peshawar I&I-IR Additional Director Muhammad Ayaz has submitted a report to the Director General I&I-IR in Islamabad regarding the raid in village Chingley, Buner.
According to the report, the cigarette manufacturing unit was running under the supervision of Waheed Khan without getting Federal Excise registration and, thus, the unit was involved in the evasion of Federal Excise Duty.
