FIA arrests notorious human trafficker

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a human trafficker namely Muhammad Khawar son of Muhammad Fayaz, resident of Sargodha.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Syed Imam Zaidi conducted raid along with Sub Inspector Sohail Ahmed Awan and arrested accused who was running illegal business of sending innocent people abroad after extorting huge amounts from them. The accused had extorted Rs 12,00,000 from a complainant Jaffer Hussain for sending him and 3 other persons for overseas employment in Dubai but he failed to send them abroad.

Sources said that FIA has also recovered passports and several fake visas of different countries from his possession. The officials sent the accused behind the bars after registering an FIR against him under Section 17/22 Emigration Ordinance (E.O) 1979. Further investigation in the case is underway.
