Customs North Region collects Rs 685.83m sales tax till December 19

ISLAMABAD: Customs North Region collected Rs 685.83 million from December 1 to 19 durig the current fiscal under the head of sales tax (ST) against the assigned target of Rs 541.68 million. The total assigned revenue collection target for the month of December is Rs 1,227.50 million. The North region comprises Customs Collectorate Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Samberial and Peshawar.

According to details, during the said period, the MCC Islamabad collected Rs 317.76 million under head of sales tax against the assigned revenue collection target of Rs 105.24 million. The Collectorate was assigned a target of Rs 423 million for December under head of sales tax.

The sources said that during said period, the MCC Peshawar collected Rs 252.56 million under head of sales tax against the assigned revenue collection target of Rs 459.44 million.  Sources said that Collectorate was assigned Rs 712 million revenue collection target under head of sales tax for month of December FY2016-17.

The sources said that during above said period the MCC Samberial collected Rs 9.68 million under head of sales tax against the assigned revenue collection target of Rs 1.33 million. The Collectorate was assigned Rs 11 million revenue collection target for the month of December FY16-17.

The sources said that from December 1 to 19, the MCC Gilgit-Baltistan collected Rs 105.83 million under head of sales tax against assigned target of Rs 24.33 million  The Collectorate was assigned Rs 81.50 million target for December FY2016-17 under the head of sales tax.
