FIA nabs notorious human trafficker from Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a human trafficker namely Asghar Ali son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Mandra Virkan tehail Noushera district Gujranwala.

Sources told Customs Today that accused was running illegal business of sending innocent people abroad after extorting huge amounts from them.

Customs sources said that Asghar Ali extorted Rs 3,50,000 from complainant Shahbaz Masih son of Ayub Masih resident of Faisalabad and others many people by promising them to send abroad on employment visa specially Libya. After receiving information, FIA Deputy Director Syed Imam Zaidi along with inspector conducted raid at his resident place and arrested the accused.

During  searching of the residence the FIA team recovered passports and several fake visas of different countries from his possession.

The officials sent the accused behind the bars after registering a case No 569/2016 against him under section (U/S), 17/22 Emigration ordinance (E.O), 1979.
