ASO impounds 100 non-duty paid vehicles from October to December 2016

KARACHI: Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has given tremendous performance from October to December 2016.

According to the details, during the three months, the ASO conducted several raids in different parts of the city and recovered 100 non-duty paid luxury vehicles worth billions of rupees.

On the directives of Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Shaukat Ali, ASO Director Feroz Alam Junejo, Additional Director Farrukh Sajjad and Deputy Director Sadia Sadaf constituted a team under the supervision of ASO Incharge Haji Muhammad Aslam who conducted several successful raids and impounded non-duty paid vehicles.

The vehicles were being used by politicians, senior police officers and renowned businessmen. The recovered non-duty paid vehicles are kept at the warehouse of the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation.
