Peshawar Customs earns Rs240m from Jan 1 to 15

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Dry Port Peshawar collected revenue of Rs239.63 million under the head of All Duty Taxes during the 1st to 15th of January of Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

According to details, Additional Deputy Collector Fazle Samad said the performance of the Dry Port Islamabad was appreciable during the above said period as the dry port collected revenue of Rs70.54 million under the head of Customs Duty. He further said that during the abovementioned period, the Peshawar Dry Port collected revenue of Rs6.11 million under the head of various surcharges whereas the dry port collected revenue of Rs6.51 million under the head of Redemption Duty on imports.

Samad added that during the first 15 days of January FY16-17, the dry port collected revenue of Rs.96.44 million under the head of Sales Tax while the Dry Port Peshawar collected revenue of Rs16.75 million under the head of Sales Tax on imports. The dry port collected revenue of Rs43.18 million under the head of Additional Income Tax, he said.
