Saudi Customs foils attempt to smuggle 865.3gm heroine

RIYADH: Customs King Khaled International Airport foiled an attempt to smuggle 865.3 gram heroin hidden within the bowels of a passenger.

According to details, Director General of Customs King Khaled International Airport Sultan Faheed said that a customs officer suspected a passenger, who came through a flight from UK the officer searched the passenger closely with advanced intestine device. While searching, the customs officer found that the suspect was carrying 110 capsules of heroine weighing 865.3 gram inside his bowels.

The customs official then arrested the suspect and shifted him to the jail where he will be treated as per law.

Director General added that the attempt of smuggling narcotics using viscera is one of the commonly known methods employed by smugglers and the Saudi Customs are adopting advanced technologies in order to detect and adjust any smuggling attempt this way or other methods.
