FST hears plenty of service matters filed by FBR employees during 3rd week of Jan

ISLAMABAD: Three benches of the Federal Service Tribunal heard a plenty of service matters during third week of January 2017.

The benches comprising Chairman Justice (r) Sayed Zahid Hussain and Dr Nazir Saeed; Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi; Syed Rafique Hussain and Nazir Saeed; Syed Muhammad Hamid and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi heard the cases .

A bench headed by Justice (r) Sayed Zahid Hussain held initial hearing on a complaint naming the Federal Board of Revenue chairman as the respondent.

The bench, headed by the chairman and another member, Dr Nazir Saeed, heard the case and directed the counsels to resume their detailed arguments on the next hearing in order to conclude the matter at the earliest.

Muhammad Haroon Khattak, an employee of Federal Board of Revenue, had filed the case against ex-chairman FBR Nisar Mohammad Khan.

Khttak had filed this petition recently in which he had complained about his transfer. He had prayed the tribunal to take up the matter and hear his case for providing him justice which was not yet been granted to him at the board.

The bench heard some other cases filed by Muhammad Ishtiaq, Ghulam Ali Sahito, Syed Muhammad Rafi, Muhammad Saleem, M Hakim Khan, Imdad Alam and Mehdi Khan. Hearing of the said cases also adjourned to different dates in coming weeks.

Muhammad Ishtiaq had submitted a complaint about interim relief promotion. This petition is pending with tribunal since 2016. Ghulam Ali Sahito, Syed Muhammad Rafi, Muhammad Saleem and Abdul Hakim Khan had filed petitions in 2016 about pending implementation of old decision by the FST.

Immad Alam and Mehdi Hassan had filed cases about seniority. Bothe appellant filed their cases in 2016. The bench would hear the cases for third time. The board had filed its objections over the cases.

Meanwhile, another FST bench comprising Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi heard three recently filed cases carrying complaints about ‘dismissal from services’, ‘withholding of two annual increments’, and others.  Muhammad Arshad Rahim, Muhammad Arshad Rahim and Ejaz Ahmed Bajwa had filed these cases.

Syed Rafique Hussain and Nazir Saeed adjourned hearing of cases filed by M Zaman, M Waheed, Abdul Ghafoor, Muhammad Arshad Rahim, Ghulam Ishaq Kiyani, Muhammad Arif and Attique Ahmed Abbasi.

Abdul Ghafoor had filed a review petition, Muhammad Arshad Rahim had filed a petition about ‘withholding of two annual increments’; Ghulam Ishaq Kiyani had filed petition seeking correction in judgment; Muhammad Arif and Attique Ahmed Abbasi and others on various other administrative acts of FBR.

Muhammad Zaman had filed his case recently in 2016. He had submitted a case seeking Interim Relief same as of the case filed by Muhammad Waheed.

FST bench Syed Muhammad Hamid and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi also dated in office hearing of complaints filed by Muhammad Shakeel Akhtar, Tariq Masood, Ghulam Sarwar Qureshi, Syed Salahuddin Gillani, Khalid Hameed, and others cases raising questions regarding  promotion, seniority, and financial incentives to the employees.

This bench also adjourned hearing on recently filed case by Sardar Ali. Ali had filed a case about Seniority and had complained about board’s reckless conduct about this. He had prayed the tribunal to direct the board on on the issue.

Muhammad Ferozuddin, another appellant, had filed an implementation matter which was pending before the tribunal since 2014. He had prayed the tribunal to redirect the board on implementing on FST’s old decision about his promotion.
