Customs collects Rs 291.95m in 15 days of January 2017

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate collected Rs 291.95 under the head of Customs Duty (CD) from 1st to 15th January of the financial year 2016-17 against the assigned target of Rs 216.32 million.

According to details, the Customs Dry Port collected Rs 183.78 million under the head of CD while the Customs Air Freight Unit (AFU) collected Rs 111.51 million during the above said period under head of CD.

Sources told Customs Today that during first 15 days of January FY16-17 the C-Bond of MCC collected Rs 0.04 million under head of CD as for as UAB collected revenue Rs 0.14 million under head of CD, the Customs AB collected revenue Rs1.32 million under head of CD.

Sources said that during above said period the Collectorate paid-off Rs5.00 million in head of rebate claims in this way the Collectorate collected total gross collection during above said period remained Rs 296.95 adding that Collectorate is optimistic about achieving its target.
