Belgian cos catalogue exhibition held: Ambassador assures KCCI of co-op to cement trade ties

KARACHI: Though Belgium being a member of European Union has to follow certain rules and regulations for issuance of visas, it is committed to facilitating Pakistani businessmen and industrialists to ensure timely visas issuance.

Belgian Ambassador Peter in Pakistan Claes stated this at the Belgian Companies’ Catalogues Exhibition organized by Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) in collaboration with the Economic & Commercial Representation of Belgium Embassy. The exhibition aimed at promoting bilateral trade between business communities of Pakistan and Belgium.

On the occasion, the ambassador pledged to strengthen further the existing business relations between the two countries.

Peter Claes emphasized that with immense opportunities Pakistan was a ideal destination for foreign investors, add that the Embassy had been encouraging Belgian investors and businessmen to visit Pakistan to explore more business opportunities. The Belgian envoy pointed out that importance of Belgium in the wake of its central position and location in the European Union calls for more integrated efforts focusing on exchange of trade delegations, institutional contacts between the Chambers of Commerce and participations in trade fairs.

KCCI President Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra, Senior Vice President Mohammad Ibrahim Kasumbi and Vice President Agha Shahab Ahmed Khan and the Managing Committee members attended the exhibition.
