Peshawar Customs earns Rs555.86m custom duty during January

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar collected Rs555.86 million customs duty during the month of January FY2016-17.

The revenue was collected from different stations of MCC Peshawar like Kohat, Khapakh, International Mail Office (IMO), Assessment Cell, State Warehouse, Auction Cell, Treasury Branch, Torkham, Hazara, Gadoon, Bacha Khan International Airport, Bounded Ware House (BWH) and Dry Port Peshawar.

According to details told by sources of the MCC Peshawar that during above said period, the MCC Peshawar Dry Port generated Rs232.67million CD whereas the BWH earned Rs94.82million CD during January FY16-17. The sources said that during said period, the BKI airport received Rs4.18million CD while the Gadoon Customs Station got Rs0.01million and the Customs Station Hazara collected Rs22.47million CD.

The sources told Customs Today that during above said period, the Customs Station Kohat State Ware House generated Rs7.15million CD whereas the Customs Station Torkham collected Rs145.92million under the same above head and the Customs Treasury Branch collected Rs21.92million CD.

The sources added that during January FY16-17, the Auction Cell Peshawar received Rs14.34million CD while the State Ware House Peshawar collected Rs7.94million under the same head. During above said period, the Assessment Cell Peshawar collected Rs0.22million CD.

The sources said that during January FY16-17, the IMO Peshawar generated Rs0.05million CD while the Customs Station Khapakh received Rs0.04million CD. During above said period, the Kohat Auction Cell collected Rs4.13million CD.
