Peshawar Preventive confiscates 7.7kg heroin powder worth Rs3.8m

ISLAMABAD: The Preventive staff of the Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar seized 7.7 kg heroin powder worth Rs3.8million from the secret cavities of a car. The car was also impounded.

Sources of the ASO Peshawar told Customs Today that the staff of the ASO intercepted a Toyota Corolla car with registration No: LPT-4715 and recovered the above said quantity of fine quality heroin. The ASO arrested the smuggler from Peshawar city.

Heroin and Toyota car were seized for violation of Section 6, 7 and 8 of the Control of Narcotics Substances Act (CNSA) 1997 punishable under Section 9(c) and 15 of at ibid.

The ASO seized 1,302 kilogram of hashish and 1,302 kilogram of opium worth Rs6.40million. It also confiscated worth Rs30million and 1,302 kilogram of heroin during January FY2016-17.
