ASO recovers contraband items worth million of rupees in different raids

KARACHI: Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has recovered contraband items worth millions of rupees during different raids in the city.

According to the details, the ASO conducted successful raids in Mochko as well as Ibrahim Goth Hydery. During the raids, the ASO team recovered contraband items worth millions of rupees.

During the raid in Mochko, the team recovered electrical items including batteries used in the mobile towers. In another raid at godown in Ibrahim Goth Hydery, the ASO officers recovered 2,700 kilogram Iranian dry milk and artificial leather along with other valuable items.

The ASO sources told Customs Today that Director General of Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Shaukat Ali instructed the officers to conduct raids in Mochko and Ibrahim Goth Hydery.

The cases have been registered against the suspects and raids are being conducted in different areas of the city to arrest the mastermind of the crime. The raids are the third biggest during the last three months.
