Customs Intelligence earns Rs34m through auction of NDP goods, vehicles

ISLAMABAD: Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation collected Rs45 million through auction of 14 non duty paid vehicles.

According to the details, the auction was held at Customs Warehouse under the supervision of Additional Director Abdul Waheed Marwat and deputy director headquarter.

A vast majority of business community including traders and ordinary citizens participated in the auction process. It is important to mention here that process of auction of old lots was pending from last many months but Director General Shaukat Ali took the notice and directed to hold public of these vehicles and goods.

The process of auction was conducted in very transparent manner. In auction 14 non duty paid vehicles including foreign origin cloth, LED TV, tyres and tubes and other miscellaneous goods were present.

Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Parado, one Toyota Surf, Mini Mada truck, LED TVs and more than 5,000 kilograms of foreign origin cloth were sold out on above the reserve prices.

Director General Shaukat Ali has expressed his satisfaction and lauded the auction process. He hoped that Customs Intelligence will expedited its efforts to earn more revenue in future also.
