FBR Chairman Irshad to appoint Rehmatullah Wazir as Member Operations

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Dr Muhammad Irshad has decided to appoint Member Inland Revenue Rehamat Ullah Khan as Member Operations Inland Revenue. A notification will be issued in this regard shortly.

According to sources, this decision was made after reviewing the performance of Rehamat Ullah Kan and in the best interest of the  board.

It is pertinent to mention here that the post of Member Operation Inland Revenue was vacant after the appointment of previous Member Operation Inland Revenue Dr Muhammad Irshad as the FBR chairman.

Sources said that Dr. Irshad also decided to transfer Special Assistant to the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Zubair Ahmad Tiwana and Special Assistant to the Member Operation Inland Revenue Ijlal Khattak.  Sources said that there is also a proposal under consideration that after the appointment of Rehmat Ullah Khan Wazir as Member Operation he will also keep the charge of Member Inland Policy. He will perform his duties on both positions. The purpose of this proposal is to keep effective control on Inland Revenue service and revenue related matters. This proposal will also help to generate and collect the revenue in transparent matter.
