ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Quetta impounded worth Rs788.103million smuggled goods and vehicles during the first half of Financial Year 2016-17.
The collectorate seized 324 non-duty paid vehicles valued Rs238million during said period. The sources disclosed that the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Quetta seized 1.141237 million litres of POL products i.e. petrol, diesel, kerosene and mobil oil valued Rs64million during above said period. The ASO Quetta seized 12 bottles of foreign origin liquor worth Rs0.103million.
The ASO seized a huge quantity of foreign origin smuggled goods worth Rs486million. During FY2015-16, the ASO seized 636 NDP vehicles worth Rs575million whereas the ASO seized 3.182478million litre POL worth Rs196million. It also seized miscellaneous smuggled goods worth Rs1231million during the first half of FY2015-16. During said period, the collectorate seized smuggled goods and vehicles worth Rs2002million.
