KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has issued the reference values for shaving razors and blades and facial machine (2 in 1 therapy needle-free mesotherapy anti-wrinkle skin tighten spa machine).
According to details, the Directorate General is populating Valuation Database Values for different items wherein it has been observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect values of the items as traded in the international market.
During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it has been observed that shaving razors and blades falling under PCT heading 8212.1000, 8212.2000 8212.9000 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.
The Directorate General, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys.
The Directorate found that the VDB values of shaving razors blades are as disposable razors (plastic body) China origin US$0.07 per piece, cartridge razors (plastic or metal body with replaceable cartridge) China origin US$0.25 per piece, straight razors or cut throat razor with disposable straight razor China origin US$0.28 per piece, razors parts including cartridges only, safety razor handles without cartridge or blades China origin US$9 per kilogram and stainless steel shaving blades China origin US$0.15 per piece.
Meanwhile, the Directorate issues another Valuation Database Ruling for facial machine (2 in 1 therapy needle-free mesotherapy anti-wrinkle skin tighten spa machine).
The Directorate General, after carefully examining found that the customs values of facial machine (2 in 1 therapy needle-free mesotherapy anti-wrinkle skin tighten spa machine) are as facial machine (2 in 1 therapy needle-free mesotherapy anti-wrinkle skin tighten spa machine) China origin US$108 per piece.
These values are, however, for reference/guidance only and final assessment may please be made after considering other factors which have bearing on the customs value.
