Non-bailable arrest warrant for NDP jeep smuggler

KARACHI: Custom Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi issued non-bailable arrest warrant for absconding accused named Zahid Ali S/o Abbas Ali who was booked in a case of smuggling of a Toyota Prado Jeep (Three-door) one unit with registration No: E-0225 Karachi modelled 1997.

During the hearing, Investigation Officer Qasim Alvi appeared before the court and filed a final challan against the above named accuse. He informed the court that on a credible information dated 24/08/2016, officials of the Anti-Smuggling Organisation recovered the above said Toyota Prado Jeep from Numaish, M.A Jinnah Road Karachi.

Officials took the vehicle into custody and lodged an FIR against accused Zahid Ali who is owner of the smuggled vehicle in violation of Section (s) 16 of the Customs Act-1969 punishable under Clauses (8) (73) & (89) of Sub-Section (1) read with Sub-Section (2) of Section 156 ibid.

After the hearing, the court accepted the challan and issued non-bailable arrest warrant for the accused.
