Hyderabad ASO seizes smuggled auto-parts valued Rs340000

HYDERABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has confiscates foreign origin smuggled auto-parts worth Rs340000 involving duty/taxes of Rs157760 during an operation in Sukkur division.

Following a tip-off received through Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad Collector Agha Shahid Majeed Khan, the ASO team conducted a raid at Sukkur-Jacobabad to foil a smuggling bid.

Under the supervision of Additional Collector Rehmatulah Vistro, ASO team, comprising Ghulam Shabir Phulphuto, Inspector Nasrullah Jilal, Inspector Ayaz Ali Shah, Inspector Abdul Wahab Sheikh, Inspector Muhammad Jurial Abbasi, Inspector Agha Nazir Ahmed, Sepoys Shabbir Ahmed Thebo, Iqbal Sheikh, Hawaldar Mehram Ali and Driver Manzoor Shori, carried out a search operation and recovered smuggled auto-parts being smuggled into Pakistan.

The ASO team registered separate cases of smuggling against accused and forwarded the cases to the customs adjudications.

After a seizure report, the ASO team deposited the confiscated items into Sukkur State Warehouse.
