KARACHI: The Pakistan Customs has established a “Help Desk” at Chaman and Taftan Customs Stations in order to facilitate the importers and exporters to get their WeBOC IDs for trading.

According to details, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to introduce Web-Based One Customs (WeBOC) at Chaman and Taftan Customs Stations for ensuring the imports and exports “computerized” through those Customs Stations.

As per the notification issued by the FBR, it was stated that the Pakistan Customs has decided to put all export and import consignments’ record on WeBOC system in order to ensure transparency in the trade through Chaman and Taftan Customs Stations.

In the notification, it was also stated that the WeBOC system at both the Customs Stations would be implemented from 13th March 2017 (today)  and the importers and exporters should enlisted their record in WeBOC by March-11, so that system IDs should be provided to them in order to refrain them from any inconvenience.

It was further stated that the One Customs System which was activated at both the Chaman and Taftan Customs Stations is being non-operational from Monday 13th March and the importers and exporters will not able to put their Goods Declarations (GDs) into the system.

It may be mentioned here that the FBR authorities have taken the said decision keeping the revenue and import/export safe adding that to ensure increase in national exchequer through collection of legitimate duty/taxes.
