Customs sets up Rapid Response Force to meet emergencies

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad established a Rapid Response Force (Substitute Force) which will work under the supervision of Customs House Officer for emergency purposes.

According to Customs Collectorate Islamabad, the force of five sepoys has been set up for emergency requirements under the instruction of Collector MCC Islamabad.

The force personnel will be equipped with modern weapons and will be part of the Anti-Smuggling Squad and Car Cell Islamabad. The force can be deployed anywhere according to the need.

The sources said there was a dire need to establish another force to exclusively deal with the special tasks assigned by Collector MCC Islamabad. The force will also fill the gap of some emergencies.
