Dry port entertains 1832 Goods Declarations & processes 1983 dutiable containers

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Dry Port (IDP) entertained 1832 Goods Declarations (GDs) and processed 1983 dutiable containers of imported items during eight months (July to February) FY2016-17.

According to Assistant Collector Amanat Khan, figures of dutiable containers and quantity of filed GDs through IDP showed satisfactory business activity at the IDP.

During the month of February, the IDP entertained 256 dutiable GDs whereas 212 were processed in January and it entertained 237 GDs in December and 273 GDs were entertained at IDP in November during FY2016-17.

About 211 GDs were processed in October whereas 202 GDs were filed in September and 257 were filed in August whereas 184 GDs were entertained in July FY16-17.

The IDP processed 286 dutiable containers in February whereas it did 268 containers in January whereas the IDP entertained 243 containers in December. The IDP dealt in 280 dutiable containers during November whereas IDP processed 217 containers during October FY2016-17.

During September, the IDP processed 231 dutiable containers whereas it entertained 264 in August and the IDP processed 194 containers during the month of July FY2016-17.
