Torkham customs collects Rs131.55m all duty & taxes during March

TORKHAM: The Customs Station Torkham of Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar earned Rs131.55million all duty and taxes during March of Financial Year 2016-17.
According to details told by Additional Deputy Collector Fazle Samad that performance chart of Torkham shows good performance for collection of all duty taxes during above said period whereas Torkham was stopped functioning during March FY16-17 due to new visa policies.

During said period, Torkham collected Rs21.61million Customs Duty whereas it received Rs0.23millions miscellaneous duty and surcharges. Torkham earned Rs0.89million Redemption Duty on imports. During above said period, Torkham earned Rs2.74million Extra Development Surcharges. Torkman collected Rs44.0million Sales Tax.
Fazle Samad said that during the month of March FY16-17, Torkham collected Rs5.81million Sales Tax on imports while it collected Rs26.06million Additional Income Tax and it did Rs36.02million Additional Income Tax on Exports.
