Income tax can't be treated like a game

FBR freezes bank account of actress Nida Ch, recovers 80,000

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) froze the bank account of stage actress Nida Chaudhary and recovered Rs 80,000 from there.

The stage actress has been tax-defaulter of Rs16million from the year 2010. The Regional Tax Office sent many notices to her for the tax recovery but she did not deposit tax liability.

The Regional Tax Office said they will try their level best to recover the remaining amount from her according to the department’s bylaws. They maintained that if she fails to pay the income tax then she will have to face a coercive action from the Regional Tax Office.
