Customs tribunal hears 15 important cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal’s Division Bench-II (single and double), comprising Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Member Technical Imran Tariq, heard 15 cases and adjourned all of them until the next hearings.

The Customs Appellate Tribunal’s single bench, comprising Omer Arshed Hakeem, heard seven cases including Muhammad Akram versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore versus Al-Hussain Trading, Nasrullah versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan, Nasir Durani versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, Yousaf and Brothers versus Customs Lahore and Salman Daud versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad.

On Tuesday, the tribunal division bench-II heard eight cases of Glacier International versus Customs Lahore, Abdul Razzaq versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Gujrat, Unison Traders versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore and Muhammad Umer versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan.

Furthermore, the tribunal heard Rai Muhammad Umer versus Customs Lahore, Customs Lahore versus Mutahir Metal D.K Industries versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Gujrat and Customs Lahore versus Tabish Corporation.

In all the cases, representatives of the appellants and respondents appeared before the court and argued in favour of their respective parties.

The tribunal reserved few verdicts and adjourns all other cases till the next dates.
