Faisalabad ASO seizes 490 kg of smuggled ladies printed cloths

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad has seized foreign origin (F/O) ladies suiting printed cloths measured 490 kg besides impounding a Toyota Corolla Car Altas. The market value of the items is Rs02.8million involving customs duty and taxes of Rs149893.

On a tip-off conveyed to the Faisalabad Anti-Smuggling Organization regarding the smuggling, the authorities constituted a raiding team comprising Dilawar Hussain (Superintendent), Tanveer-ul-Haq, Khalid Ashraf Noor, Inspectors Ali Zahid and Muhammad Khalid Dogar, Sepoys Muhammad Hayat, Muhammad Yasin, Zulfiqar Ali Awan.

The party intercepted a Toyota Corolla car with registration No: PV-004 (ICT Islamabad) and recovered ladies suiting printed cloths of China make. The cloth was being transported from Nowshera to Faisalabad.

The raiding team asked accused Muhammad Ashfaq son of Muhammad Aslam Having to produce legal documents of the import of above said cloth, he failed to do so.

The ASO seized the cloths and registered a case against accused while further investigations are in progress.
