Collector adjudication adjourns two smuggling cases’ hearing until 6th

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig has adjourned two cases of smuggling bids involving Rs12million until 6-05-2017, sources told Customs Today.

The collector heard different seizure cases made by the Faisalabad Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Faisalabad, Sargodha and Mianwali, and Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement.

He also directed the owners of the seized items and their lawyers to present their arguments during the next hearing.

It may be mentioned here that the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Mianwali Customs, seized Toyota GYGNUS with registration No: QAM-4218 (Quetta) involving duty and taxes of Rs03.6million. Referring to another case of smuggling of foreign origin (F/O) aluminum, the ASO foiled packing of cigarette (6080-kg) worth Rs08.1million.
