PCA recovers Rs1,131,675 on account of inadmissible exemptions from Auriga Chemicals

LAHORE: Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Lahore has recovered Rs1,131,675 on account of inadmissible exemptions of goods and article imported from foreign countries by M/s Auriga Chemicals Enterprises.

According to the details, the PCA had issued audit observation to the company that it has short deposited Rs131,675 in National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Customs House Branch.

The observations were made by a team led by Deputy Director Ammara Durrani and Touqeer Ahmad Dar. The team was also consisting of Senior Audit Officer Attiqur Rehman, Deputy Superintendent Babar Rashid.

The Auriga Chemicals Enterprizes has intimated the Post Clearance Audit authorities that the company has deposited the short deposited amount to the national exchequer.

Earlier, the PCA Lahore has unearthed millions of rupees tax evasion on account of telecommunication equipment’s and tarpaulins import.

PCA is one of the very vibrant organs of Customs establishment that audits companies import export after the clearance and recovers evaded duty and taxes if any discrepancies take place in the course of clearance of goods and articles imported and exported.
