PESHAWAR: The Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar (MCCP) exceeded collection of all duty and taxes during April of Financial Year 2016-17 against the last month’s (March 2016-17) collection under the same head. The Peshawar collectorate received Rs240.51million collection against the last month’s (March FY16-17) collection under the all duty and taxes.
According to Additional Deputy Collector Fazle Samad, the Peshawar collectorate generated Rs1350.45million all duty and taxes during April FY16-17 whereas the collectorate collected Rs1109.51million under the same head during March FY16-17.
During April FY16-17, the collectorate of Peshawar collected Rs548.58million customs duty (CD) whereas it collected Rs448.76million sales tax (ST). The MCCP collected Rs12.20million federal excise duty on imports (FEDI) and collected Rs340.91million additional income tax (AIT) during April FY16-17.
The Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar collected Rs1109.94million all duty taxes during March of Financial Year 2016-17 whereas during March FY16-17 the collectorate collected Rs441.98million customs duty while the MCC Peshawar collected Rs241.86million sales tax on imports during March FY16-17.
The MCCP collected Rs180.92million sales tax levied as federal excise duty on palm oil while it collected Rs18.50million federal excise duty on imports during March 2016-17 and the collectorate received Rs194.40million additional income tax and withholding tax during March FY2016-17.
