He said when the second consignment reached Karachi Port, the petitioner suffered heart attack and was admitted in hospital and could not contact the customs authorities. After discharge from hospital, the petitioner contacted the customs authorities for release of the consignment in the favor of Shaheryar Shahanshah but they are reluctant to release the consignment despite he has fulfilled all the legal requirements.

Citing chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and deputy collector of Customs Collectorate Appraisement East as respondents, counsel pleaded the court may direct the customs authorities to release his consignment immediately.
