It is necessary to mention here that despite issuing of many notices the cigarettes remained unclaimed by the parties and finally the customs adjudication ordered it to impound in the name of the state.

Additional Collector of Customs Beleem Ramzan heard the case and finally passed an order consisting three pages.

It was said that based on what has been stated, it is proved beyond any shadow of doubt that cigarettes were brought in the country without the payment of duty and taxes which is an illegal act.

The charges leveled in the show cause notice are found correct and thus the cigarettes must be confiscated.
