Faisalabad Adjudication orders unconditional handover of truck to owner

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Faisalabad Additional Collector (ADC) Saeed Asad has ordered the handover of Mazda truck impounded by Field Intelligence and Investigation Unit (FIU) Khushab to its owner. ADC Saeed issued Order-In-Original (ONO) No 20/2017.

Intelligence Unit Khushab team had raided the area of Moosa Khail Mianwali and intercepted a F/O Mazda Titan truck No: TKY-355. Superintendent FIU Khushab asked Sardar Shahid Iqbal son of Sardar Muhammad Sharif (Owner as per registration book) to show the legal documents regarding the import of the truck. But he failed to do. The team forwarded the case to the Adjudication Department for further legal action against the smuggler.

Later, Basharat Hussain appeared on behalf of the party and stated that the impounded vehicle has been purchased through auction by the respondent after the payment of sale proceed from Sindh Police Department vide lot No: 120-121 SP No, 9706 dated 09-04-2012 and the Sindh Police have verified the auctioned documents.

Based on what has been discussed, the seizing agency has failed to establish the charge framed against the party. Therefore Additional Collector (ADC) Faisalabad Adjudication ordered the unconditional handover of the impounded vehicle to its lawful owner and withdrawal of the show cause notice.
