Customs DGTR holding seminar on CPEC tomorrow

KARACHI: A seminar on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be held at the auditorium of the Directorate General of Training and Research (DGTR), Customs Karachi, tomorrow (Wednesday).

Director General of DGTR Robina Wasti and Chairman Pakistan National Shipping Corporation will address the seminar. Chen Xiandong, the Deputy Consul General of the People’s Republic of China and the customs officers of the China will also attend the event.

The Project Director of the CPEC, Ministry of Planning and Division and Research Islamabad, will update the status of the project and the Industrial Co-operation under the CPEC.

Marketing Manager of the China Overseas Port Holding Company will address the seminar and will inform the audience about the latest development at the Gwadar Port as well as the Gwadar Free Zone.

Among the notable speakers will be Director Transit Trade Quetta Chaudhary Muhammad Javed who will inform about the status of overall transit trade through the corridor.

It is pertinent to mention that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is journey towards economic connectivity in the globalized world and is seemed to be the game changer in Asia.
