Multan Customs attaches property of M/s Ata Chemicals due to tax evasion

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate recovery branch has issued warrants to attach property of M/s Ata Chemical (Pvt) Limited for payment of their outstanding dues worth Rs 1.080 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Collectorate has started crackdown against defaulters for recovery of the outstanding government dues. The Multan Customs, in its “warrants of attachment” against the importer, has appointed Superintendent (Law) Muhammad Yousaf Balouch as an attachment officer for collection of duty and taxes.

Assistant Collector Muhammad Zohaib Sandhila has appointed attachment officer to attach the properties of M/s Ata Chemicals (Pvt) Limited , located in the Plot no.5-C,Industrial Estate, Phase I Multan against the non-payment of dues amounting to Rs10,80,547.

The attachment officer Muhammad Yousaf Balouch has been given special directives from Assistant Collector Customs Dry Port to seize the moveable and immovable properties belonging to the defaulter for recovery of government taxes in terms of rule 133 and 151 of the Customs Rule 2001 with section 202 of the Customs Act 1969.

It is also pertinent to mention here that the Multan Customs recovery branch has issued several notices to defaulters for payment of their outstanding amount but they have not paid yet. Assistant Collector Multan Dry Port Muhammad Zohaib has attached the property of defaulter M/s Ata Chemical (Pvt) Limited against the non-payment of outstanding duty taxes.
