Hazara Station earns Rs94.7m of all duty & taxes during 15 days of July

HAZARA: The Customs Station Hazara generated Rs94.7million of All Duty and Taxes during the 1st to 15th of July Financial Year FY2017-18. The Hazara earned Rs868.28million of All Duty and Taxes during the whole corresponding FY2016-17.

According to details explained by sources of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar, Hazara is working under the MCC Peshawar. During 15 days of July FY17-18, said customs station received Rs22.14million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas it earned Rs2.65million of miscellaneous duty and taxes. And Hazara collected Rs0.12million of Redemption Duty (RD) on Imports.
During 15 days of July FY2017-18, the Hazara got Rs47.76million of Sales Tax (ST) on palm oil while it did Rs19.04million of Additional Income Tax (AIT). And said customs station earned Rs3.05million of Federal Excise Duty (FEDI) on per 01 kg imports.
Sources told CT that during corresponding FY2016-17, the Hazara collected Rs258.85million of CD whereas it earned Rs22.07million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges. It received Rs0.75million of With Holding (WH) Surcharge while it did Rs1.49million of RD on Imports and earned Rs1.17million of ST. And Hazara got Rs397.06million of ST on Import of palm oil.
Sources said that during FY16-17, the Hazara generated Rs158.34million of AIT while it collected Rs28.55million of FEDI on Imports 01 per kilogram.
