All stations of Islamabad collect Rs75.5m more CD than yesteryear’s

ISLAMABAD: All Stations of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad generated Rs75.5million more Customs Duty (CD) during 21 days of July Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 than the revenue collection under the same head during corresponding period of July FY2016-17.

The collectorate earned Rs229.75million of CD during the 1st to 21st days of July FY17-18 whereas it did Rs154.25million of CD during July FY16-17. The collectorate has paid Rs28.93million of Rebate refunds out of the net collection during initial 21 days of July FY17-18.
According to details explained by Dr. Arslan, Collector MCC Islamabad, the IDP received Rs107.72million of CD against the collection of Rs60.56million during the same corresponding period. The collector told CT that the AFU got Rs117.35million of CD during above said period while it earned Rs86.87million of CD during corresponding period of 1st to 21st of July FY16-17. During above said period, the CB section generated Rs1.48million CD while it did Rs4.51million CD during the same period of corresponding FY2016-17.
He further said the UAB section received Rs0.23million during 21 days of July FY17-18 against the collection of Rs0.15 CD during the same period of July FY16-17. The Customs AB section got Rs2.44million during 21 days of July FY2017-18 of CD whereas it did Rs2.00million CD during the same period of FY16-17. The collector further told CT that the IMO earned Rs0.20million CD during 21 days of July FY17-18 while it earned Rs0.16million of CD during 21 days of July FY16-17.
