ASO busts 15000 liters smuggled Iranian origin diesel

KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) has apprehended huge quantity of smuggled Iranian diesel.

According to the details, the officer of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) on the tip of higher authorities conducted an operation near Peerabad area.

During the checking of the heavy vehicles at entry and exit points of the city the officers of the ASO intercepted a truck but the driver rushed for the escape. The officers of the Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) pursue the culprits till Peerabad.

The culprits near Peerabad stopped the truck and flew away; the team of the Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) under the supervision of the Senior Intelligence Officer Akmal Hashmi conducted the complete checking of the truck.

The ASO team found fifteen thousand liters of Iranian origin smuggled High Speed Diesel (HSD) concealed in the secret portion of the truck. The recovered smuggled Diesel and the apprehended truck worth millions of rupees in the market.

The ASO team have taken the fifteen thousand liters Iranian origin smuggled High Speed Diesel (HSD) and the said truck into the custody whereas the case have been registered against the culprits.
