New Islamabad Airport’s PRAL‘s building to be handed over to MCC on August 10

ISLAMABAD: The new Islamabad Airport’s Pakistan Revenue Automation (Pvt) Limited’s (PRAL) building will be handed over to Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad on 10th of August Financial Year 2017-18. It is hard to inaugurate the whole new airport building before next one to two months because of the rest of uncompleted work.

According to details explained by Assistant Collector Airport Ali Asad that construction work is going on with speedy pace on the newly constructed airport but it cannot be opened on 14th of August.

He informed the media that civil aviation will install five big scanners at outer sides of the Accompanied and Unaccompanied baggage sides but the Customs Department has to install two scanners for luggage checking inside the passenger lounge. The customs has forwarded its demand for allocation of funds to buy and install new scanners at newly constructed Islamabad airport.
