Customs Torkham earns Rs583.73m under all heads during July FY17-18

TORKHAM: The Customs Station Torkham received Rs583.73million during the month of July Financial Year FY2017-18 under the heads of All Duties, Taxes and surcharges.

According to details explained by Additional Collector Fazle Shakoor while talking with Customs Today that, during above said period, the Torkham Customs station collected some handsome revenue under all the heads. The Torkham received Rs156.73 million of Customs Duty (CD) during July FY17-18 while it did Rs0.99million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges.
He said that, during July Fy17-18, the Torkham generated Rs4.96million of Redemption Duty (RD) while it did Rs1.56millionof Extra Development Surcharges (EDS PAK). The Torkham collected Rs165.26million of Sales Tax (ST) during said period.
Additional Collector told CT that, during July FY17-18, the Torkham earned Rs22.94million of Sales Tax (ST) while it did Rs143.65million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) and it also received Rs85.64million of AIT on Imports.
He added that the Torkham did not allocate any revenue collection target for the first quarter (July to September) of FY17-18.
