Multan Dry Port Trust to suspend inactive members from BoD

MULTAN: Multan Dry Port Trust (MDPT) has decided to suspend all the inactive members from their Board of Directors very soon to control interior issues.

According to details, Multan Dry Port Trust (MDPT) has Board of Directors (BoD) comprising 20 members. These members took decisions and manage affairs of the port along with their elected body. Few members were not taking any interest in the affairs and the board members were constantly calling them to attend meetings.

Chairman Multan Dry Port Trust Khawaja Muhammad Faazil has informed their members to attend meetings but five to six members are not responding to the MDPT body about their availability for the meeting. Multan Dry Port Trust is working on the multi model transit hub for the swift clearance of import and export consignments through freight trains of Pakistan Railway.

Multan Dry Port Trust wants presence of all members in their meetings to take important decisions for construction of multi model transit hub and few members have been continuously absent from meetings.

Meanwhile MDPT will remove inactive members and form new members to manage their internal affairs of Multan Dry Port.
