Appraisement East recovers Rs 11,999m duty, taxes during nine days of September

KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate  of Appraisement East has collected Rs 11,999 million under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty (FED) during the first nine days of September.

Sources told Customs Today that the Customs Appraisement East collected Rs 5,146 million under the head of customs duty, Rs 5,122 million as sales tax, Rs 1,102 million under the head of income tax and Rs 62 million as federal excise duty (FED) during the first nine days of September 2017.

During the month of August 2017, the sources said the Customs Appraisement East had collected Rs21,556 million taxes and duties that included Rs8,046 million under the head of customs duty, Rs9,145 million as sales tax, Rs 4,224 million as income tax and Rs102 million under head of federal excise duty (FED).

It is pertinent to mention here that soon after the start of current month of September Customs Appraisement East expedited their efforts to collect as much revenue as possible.
