LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling has approved three days physical remand of accused and handed over him to the investigation team of Pakistan Customs on Tuesday on charges of smuggling of cloths.
During proceedings Customs Intelligence counsel told the court that accused was involved in smuggling of cloths from India to Shadman Market and Faisalabad via different routes. He said that market value of recovered cloths is Rs 6.6 million. They had caused huge loss to national kitty in the wake of taxes and duties. They were involved in smuggling for long time.
Customs investigation team presented him before the customs court and asked for their physical remand to dig out network behind this smuggling mafia.
After completion of physical remand judge of the customs court Tahir Sabir has directed the investigation team to present him again on 29th September for further proceeding.
