ISLAMABAD: The Exports Section of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad earned Rs230.98million from 1st to 20h of September Financial Year (FY) 2017-18.
According to details explained by sources of Exports Section Islamabad that, during above said period, the Exports Section gained satisfactory business through known export items like leather goods, surgical goods, football and perishable items.
The sources told CT that, during first 20 days of September FY17-18, the Exports Section processed 1620 GDs through WeBOC. During 1st of July to 31st of August FY17-18, the Exports Section generated the business of Rs5088.30million while it processed exports consignments’ GDs of 5882 numbers.
During the 1st two months of current Financial Year 17-18, the major items exported to different regions and countries comprise textile garments, fresh chilled meat, leather goods and surgical instruments.
During the month of September, exports from Islamabad remained slow during the first two months of FY2017-18. There are many rebate refund cases which are pending from FY2014-15 onwards. These refund cases need to be paid off as soon as possible to exporters so that they can continue their business with more convenience.
