ISLAMABAD: The all customs stations of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad earned Rs269.82million of Customs Duty (CD) during initial 23 days of September Financial Year (FY) 2017-18. The MCC Islamabad’s all stations comprise Islamabad Dry Port (IDP), Air Freight Unit (AFU), Customs Bond Section, Unaccompanied Baggage (UAB), Accompanied Baggage (AB), International Mail Office (IMO) and Rebate Refund.
According to details given by Acting Additional Collector Shahid Jan while talking with Customs Today that, during above said period, the customs stations, working under the jurisdiction of MCC Islamabad, showed good performance. During said period, the IDP generated Rs174.59million as CD.
Shahid Jan told CT that, during first 23 days of September FY2017-18, the AFU Islamabad received Rs91.69million of CD while the Customs Bond section did Rs1.56million and the UAB got Rs0.19million as CD during above said period.
The AB section of MCC Islamabad collected Rs1.61million of CD whereas the IMO did Rs0.33million as CD and the Rebate Refund section paid off Rs0.16million to exporters during initial 23 days of the current month of September 2017-18.
Additional Collector told CT that, during said period, the MCC Islamabad earned Rs269.98million of total gross collection as CD while it generated Rs269.82million of total net collection during above said period.
