Case filed against M/s Pindi Karwan Goods Transport’s owner, others for attacking customs team

LAHORE: Masti Gate police on Thursday lodged an FIR against the owners of M/s Pindi Karwan Goods Transport for attacking customs team and interfering in the official work of the customs department.

As per the details, the customs authorities filed a complaint against the owners of the M/s Pindi Karwan Goods Transport Company that during the course of discharging of their official duties, the company’s owner Munir Papa and his accomplices attacked the customs officials who wanted to check their Suzuki pick-ups to determine whether the vehicles were loaded with the legally imported goods and articles.

However, as per the FIR when the customs team tried to check the vehicle and demanded legal clearance documents from the owners Munir Papa, along with his accomplices, attacked the customs officials on duty with iron rods and severely torched them. As a result, one hand joint of a sepoy Muhammad Aslam got fractured while the other officials also received serious injuries.

According to the customs officials as many as eight men, who assaulted the customs officials, were also accompanying the owner of the transport company.

The Masti Gate police after lodging FIR against the owners of the transport company started further investigations.
