Multan RTO surpasses assigned revenue targets in 1Q of FY 2017-18

MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made excess collection of revenue by achieving 102 percent during the first three months of the fiscal year 2017-18.

According to sources, Regional Tax Office collected Rs.9.22 billion in wake of income taxes against the set target of Rs 10.29 billion during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2017-18.The Regional Tax Office was able to collect 90 percent of the assigned target. Regional Tax Office has generated handsome revenue from sales tax of worth Rs8.83 billion against the allocated target of Rs.7.41billion in the three months of fiscal year 2017-18. The Regional Tax Office achieved 119 percent collection of sales tax during the three months of existing fiscal year 2017-18.

The Regional Tax Office Multan assigned Rs.114 million under the head of federal excise duty (FED) and it has generated Rs156 million in the first quarter of  the economic year 2017-18 by securing 137 percent revenue collection.

The RTO Multan achieved overall all heads of assigned revenue targets during first quarter of the fiscal year 2017-18.

Sources told Customs Today that RTO Multan authority has taken effective measures for the accomplishment of assigned revenue task.
