Wyoming unemployment rate unchanged in September

WASHINGTON: Cheyenne, Wyo. – Wyoming Department of Workforce Services reported today that the state’s unemployment rate remained unchanged from August to September at 4.0%.

Wyoming’s unemployment rate was significantly lower than its year-ago level of 5.1%, and slightly lower than the current U.S. unemployment rate of 4.2%. Laramie county it is 3.3% up from 3.2% in August – but down from a year ago. The highest unemployment rates in September were found in Natrona County at 4.5 percent, Fremont County at 4.4 percent and Campbell Count at 4.3 percent. Teton County had the lowest jobless rate in the state at 1.9 percent, followed by Niobrara at 2.3 percent, Albany and Goshen both at 2.5 percent.
