Food dept fine 11 outlets, four sealed

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) in  its ongoing  drive of checking food outlets on Thursday inspected various sites while four outlets were sealed  for not making proper cleanliness arrangements.

The Departments spokesman told media that PFA had issued several warning notices to “Huqa Pani” Pan shop, Machalli brand foods, New Medina restaurant and Excellent foods but the management did not take it seriously, so the PFA sealed them for not making hygienic environment.

PFA also issued notices to 42 outlets to improve cleanliness while fine of Rs1,000,00 was imposed on  11 different outlets  for not making cleanliness arrangements.

He further said that strict action is being taken against violators to ensure  provision of hygienic food to the residents.
