MCC GB surpasses allocated target with Rs68.17m revenue during 30 days

GILGIT-BALTISTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate Gilgit-Baltistan collected surplus revenue amounting to Rs68.17million during 30 days of October Financial Year 2017-18 against an earmarked proportional target of above said period under all the tax heads.

The GB was assigned a proportional revenue collection target of Rs366.54million while it earned revenue of Rs434.71million during 30 days of October FY17-18 under all the heads. The GB generated Rs310.82million under all the heads during above the same period of corresponding FY16-17 under all the heads.
According to details explained by sources of the MCC GB that the collectorate showed 18.60% increase against the allocated revenue collection target for the first 30 days of October FY17-18 whereas it showed 39.86% growth against the same period of previous 30 days of October FY16-17.
The sources explained that the GB received Rs4.32million surplus revenue against the assigned target of Customs Duty (CD) during 30 days of October FY17-18. The GB was earmarked Rs177.56million whereas it earned Rs181.88million as CD during above said period.
The GB was assigned Rs131.15million of Sales Tax (ST) against the revenue collection of Rs184.36million during 30 days of October 17-18. The GB got extra revenue of Rs53million during said period against an allocated proportional revenue target.
The sources told CT that the GB collected Rs68.47million of With Holding Tax (WHT) against an earmarked revenue target of Rs57.83million during 30 days of October FY17-18. The Collectorate of GB generated an extra revenue of Rs11million against an assigned proportional target as WHT during said period.
